ADRIAN SALINERO – PIANIST
Adrian was a 22/23 Young Artist at the National Opera Studio, where he worked in residencies with Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Scottish Opera and English National Opera. Since the end of his time at NOS he has been performing in the OVO Theatre production of The Threepenny Opera (Kurt Weill). In the upcoming months he will work in several projects around London, including The Music Troupe’s brand new opera Masque of Vengeance (Edward Lambert).
Tricia Ninian – SOPRANO
Tricia began her solo career a few decades ago in Westminster Abbey, but more recently was a Morley College Opera Performance student under the expert direction of Jonathan Cocker. She founded St Paul’s Opera in 2013 and for SPO has sung the roles of Madame Goldentrill (Der Schauspieldirektor) and Nella (Gianni Schicchi ), Liu (Turandot), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Eurydice (Orpheus in the Underworld), Despina (Così fan Tutte), and Marcellina (Le Nozze di Figaro). Last year she was Miss Wordsworth (Albert Herring).
Sophie Price – SOPRANO
Sophie is a freelance soprano. She has a First Class Degree in Music at the University of Manchester and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music. She sings regularly with Constella OperaBallet’s Connecting Stars programme, and has worked with British Youth Opera, She Collective, and Manchester Sick! Festival. ELEANOR JANES – SOPRANO
Eleanor joined SPO for the first time this summer performing Frasquita. She has performed with companies such as Grange Park Opera, Longborough Festival Chorus, West Green House Opera and Winslow Hall Opera as well as in several leading orchestras for Vivaldi’s Gloria, Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah. Alex Dinwiddie – MEZZO SOPRANO
Alexandra is a British mezzo who trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Elizabeth McCormack. Credits include: Nancy - Albert Herring, La Ciesca - Gianni Schicchi (St Paul’s Opera); Olga - Eugene Onegine (Edinburgh Studio Opera); Lola/Lena - Verismo (Opera on Location); Edwin Hillier’s Dhātu (Glasgow Cathedral Festival); Elgar’s Sea Pictures (Greyfriar’s Kirk); Dvořák’s Stabat Mater (St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh); Le Loup-garou (Gothic Opera); Le Dernier Sorcier; a collaboration with the Tim Kliphuis Trio.
Hannah Morley – MEZZO SOPRANO
Mezzo-Soprano Hannah Morley is studying for an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal and Operatic Performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, generously supported by a Conservatoire scholarship. She was a Leeds Lieder Young Artist for 2022 with her duo partner Michael Rose and an Emerging Artist for Clonter Opera Theatre’s Summer Showcase week (2022). Prizes include: The Gil-Rodriguez Scholarship Opéra de Baugé (2023), The Elizabeth Rollarson Award (2023), The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Singing prize (2023); The Ashleyan Opera prize (2022); The Edward Brookes Lieder prize (2021).
Abbie Ward – MEZZO SOPRANO
Abbie is a mezzo soprano in the fourth-year of her undergraduate degree at The Royal Academy of Music, under the tuition of Alex Ashworth. Abbie is a Josephine Baker Trust scholar and generously supported by The Tom Acton Memorial Fund, The Pimlott Foundation and The Essex Community Foundation. Credits include: Dido and Aeneas (Hampstead Gardens Opera); Sir John in Love (British Youth Opera); The Prisoner (William Gardner, RAM).
Roberto Abate – TENOR
Roberto, from Perth Australia, completed his Masters at the Wales International Academy of Voice, and is a recipient of the Australian Awards Operatic Scholarship from the Tait Memorial Trust. Credits include: Nemorino - L’elisir D’Amore, Bob Bowles - Peter Grimes (WA Opera); CarlosC - Don Carlos, Bandit - Don Quixote, Parpignol - La Boheme (Grange Park Opera), CavaradossiC - Tosca (Opera North), Don JoséC - Carmen (The Grange Festival, Opera-Up-Close), Rodolfo - La Boheme (Regents Opera). Peder Holtermann – TENOR
Peder started singing in The Norwegian Broadcasting Boys Choir, aged 6. After degrees in Law and Musicology from The University of Oslo, he was a post-graduate student at the RCM, London. Credits include: Bach’s St John Passion; Dvorak’s Stabat Mater; Britten’s Serenade; Carissimi ́s Jeptha; Tamino - The Magic Flute; Ferrando - Cosi Fan Tutte; Don Basilio / Curzio - Le Nozze di Figaro, Mr Upfold - Albert Herring, El Remendado (cover) - Carmen (St Paul’s Opera). He has recently sung Mozart´s Requiem with The Festival Chorus. Next up is Spoletta -Tosca, with Rose Opera at Normansfield theatre. Aside from singing, Peder is also a qualified Antigym® practitioner.
Thomas Litchev – BARITONE
Bulgarian American baritone Thomas is currently a second-year postgraduate student at the Guildhall School of Music, where he studies with Samantha Malk. Credits include: Adario - Rameau’s Les Indes Galantes (Trondheim Barokkfest for Stephanie-Marie Degand). Upcoming: a solo recital with pianist Héloïse Bertrand; Dandini - Rossini’s La Cenerentola (Opera Kipling). His work has been praised as ‘gripping to watch and hear’ (clevelandclassical.com).
ASHLEY MERCER – BARITONE
Ashley graduated Masters with distinction from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance (TCM Trust Scholar and a Kathleen Roberts scholar) and was awarded the Paul Simm Opera Prize.
