Love and marriage, opera style
We are delighted to be bringing you something a little different in the New Year. SPO favourites, husband and wife team Louis and Tanya Hurst, have put together a remarkable gala evening designed to show how tempestuous it is being married to an opera singer!
Performing a multitude of scenes from across opera, in Love and War they will explore the nature of love and how passionate it can be.
In most operas the tenor and soprano fall in love and the baritone is often left out. However with the aid of some ravishing music we move through love triangles, plots and scheming and a fair amount of unreciprocated love. It’s guaranteed to be a fiery evening.
The date is Friday, 20th January, 2023 and the venue, as ever, is St Paul’s Church, Rectory Grove, SW4 0DZ. Battle starts at 7.30pm.
