Radiant Voices, Sacred Spaces

Friday 25th April at 7.30pm

We cannot wait to bring you an evening of some of the best loved arias and ensembles from the rich repertoire of oratorio music

On Frday, 25th April, we are presenting another oratorio concert – ‘Radiant Voices, Sacred Spaces’ – and we very much hope you can come.

The first half will be a selection of oratorio favourites from a variety of works including excerpts from Rossini's Petit Messe Solennelle, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Handel’s Ode for St Cecilia’s Day. The second half will be a performance of the beautiful Fauré Requiem. With just eight voices, this will present the famous work as an intimate ensemble of classically trained voices, adding a tapestry of richness and individualism to the beauty and simplicity of the music.

Our singers for the performance include some familiar faces, and we are also delighted to welcome soprano Anna Gregg and tenor Robert Folkes for the first time to St Paul’s Opera.
